Communication is everything when dealing with business users.
Aviarc Australia utilises all of the Aviarc™ development methodologies when delivering to a client's requirements. The inherent nature of web applications is that they allow the user to see exactly the state and status of the application throughout the various stages of development. The Aviarc Development Suite then allows:
- Early changes to be made when specifications change, or the user changes their requirements.
- Communication via web 2.0 delivery mechanisms: RSS, wiki-style collaboration, etc is all built into the Aviarc Development Suite.
- The ability to sit with any user anywhere and make changes there and then.
- Users to communicate with each other and the development team, using their Aviarc-based application, from within the application itself. An indespensible function during acceptance testing.
The methodologies enforce a do-it-once regime on the development team. All captured ideas are held throughout the life of the delivered product and are available for post-implementation benefits realisation exercises.
The high level of user interaction that starts in the Idea Incubation phase continues throughout the Feature Driven Development phase. The inevitable scope-creep is managed using normal enhancement request processes but is minimised by the heavy involvement of the user in building their requirements, the short lead time from project approval to first iteration and the short development cycles.
Software as a Service
Aviarc Australia can offer hosting for developers or developed applications. These offerings can be priced on a fee for service (SaaS) basis or priced as a normal development, depending on the client's requirements.
